01What is a credit?
One credit is one US cent. Every plan draws from the same balance at the same published rates; a plan's monthly fee counts toward your usage.
02How is usage billed?
Sandboxes and computers are billed the flat price of their size, per second, while they run. A stopped or paused sandbox or computer is not billed for compute. Apps and databases are billed per second on the CPU and memory they use, never more than the flat price of their size. Egress is billed from the first GB; there is no free tier. Builds are billed per minute of build time. There are no discounts or bonuses in the price. The one included allowance is 10 named snapshots per organization; each one beyond that costs $1.70 a month.
03What happens at a $0 balance?
When your balance reaches $0, running computers and sandboxes pause and resume on their own when you add credit. Databases and deployments are stopped and may need a manual restart after you add credit. Nothing is deleted. New machines start only while you have credit. On Developer and Business and Enterprise, usage past the included credit bills at the same rates, and the card on file is charged before anything is paused.
04Is there a free plan?
Yes. Free has no monthly charge and includes $1 of usage every month. You can add credits that never expire, or move to a paid plan for higher limits.
05Do idle sandboxes keep billing?
On accounts opened since October 11, 2026, sandboxes pause after 30 idle minutes by default. A paused sandbox bills no vCPU or RAM, only its disk at the snapshot rate.
06Do builds cost anything?
No. Builds are free; a deployment bills for the machine it runs on.
